Run Your First Audit

Start the Audit

1. Go to your Dashboard.
2. Click Run Audit.
3. If you haven't added keywords yet, you'll be prompted to add them first.
4. The audit starts immediately. It takes about 2–3 minutes.

What Happens During an Audit

99Visibility sends each of your keywords to four AI platforms:

• ChatGPT (OpenAI)
• Perplexity
• Google AI Overviews
• Claude (Anthropic)

For every response, we check: Does AI mention your brand? Is the information correct? Is the tone positive or negative? Does it link back to your site?

Reading Your Results

When the audit finishes, your Dashboard shows:

• Visibility Score (0–100) — your overall AI visibility. See Understanding Your Score.
• Per-platform scores — how you rank on each AI platform individually.
• Recommendations — prioritized fixes, sorted by impact.
• Hallucination alerts — anything AI got wrong about your brand.

First Audit Score Is Low?

That's normal. Most brands score 20–50 on their first audit. Your first audit is a baseline. Follow the recommendations, then re-audit in 1–2 weeks to measure improvement.
