Score Not Improving
You made changes but your score didn't go up. Here's why.
Common Reasons
1. Changes haven't propagated yet
Different platforms update at different speeds:
- Perplexity — picks up changes within days (it searches the live web).
- Google AI — usually within 1–2 weeks (tied to Google's crawl schedule).
- ChatGPT & Claude — rely on training data. Changes can take weeks or months to appear.
2. Changes aren't live
Double-check that your website changes are actually deployed and visible. For schema markup, use Google's Rich Results Test to validate.
3. Small keyword set
With a small number of keywords, one or two stubborn queries can hold your entire score down. Try adding more keywords for a broader picture.
4. One platform is dragging the average
Check your per-platform scores. Your overall might be flat while one platform improves and another drops. Focus on the lagging platform.
What to Do
- Keep implementing recommendations. GEO compounds — consistent effort over 4–8 weeks shows results.
- Focus on Perplexity and Google AI first (faster feedback loop).
- If nothing improves after 4 weeks of active changes, contact support and we'll review your account.
