Can't Finish Signing Up or Setting Up Your Brand

You tried to sign up and something stopped you. The confirmation email never arrived, the form said the address is taken, or brand setup won't let you past the first step. Each of these has a short fix.

Likely causes

• The confirmation email is in spam, or went to a mistyped address. An email sign-up has to click that link before it can sign in.
• The address already has an account, often one made with Google. The form then says "An account with this email already exists."
• A required brand field is empty. Brand setup needs a brand name, a website URL and an industry before Continue works.

Fix it

The confirmation email never came

1. Search your inbox and your spam folder for the email from 99Visibility, and click the link in it.
2. Check the address you typed. The sign-up page shows it on the "Check your email" screen.
3. If your address is a Google account, go to /signup and click Continue with Google instead. Google sign-in does not wait for a confirmation link.
4. There is no resend button. If none of the above works, ask us to look (see below).

"An account with this email already exists"

1. Go to /login. If you first signed up with Google, click Continue with Google.
2. If you signed up with a password and don't remember it, click Reset password. Can't log in walks through the reset.

Brand setup won't continue

1. Enter the Brand Name exactly as customers search for you, the Website URL, and pick an Industry. The step stops with "Brand name is required", "Enter a valid URL" or "Select your industry to get better AI suggestions" until all three are set.
2. Click Continue. We read your site in the background to suggest keywords and brand facts, so the next steps may already be filled in.
3. On the keywords step, add at least one. Setup takes up to five; add the rest on the Keywords page afterwards.
4. Brand facts and a competitor are optional here. On the Free plan a competitor entered during setup is not saved, because Free tracks no competitors.
5. Finish setup and your first audit starts on its own. If it runs past three minutes, setup says "This is taking longer than usual." Go to your dashboard; we email you when it lands.

Before your next audit

Add a few brand facts: your founding year and your starting price with its dollar figure. Those are what the accuracy check compares AI answers against. Your brand facts are out of date shows how to write them so the check can use them.
