Similarweb Alternative for AI Visibility (Not Traffic Data)

What this page is not

Similarweb is a digital data company: web and app traffic, market and competitive intelligence. If you need web traffic estimates, we don't do that, and nothing here replaces Similarweb's traffic data. This page compares only Similarweb's AI Search Intelligence, its product for how AI engines describe brands.

If you want a Similarweb alternative for AI visibility, compare its AI Search Intelligence ($129 a month, or $99 billed yearly, for 150 prompts on four engines) with tools built for that job: 99Visibility to see what AI gets wrong about you and whether its crawlers can reach you, SE Visible or Peec AI for daily tracking, Rankscale for the most engines, or Ahrefs Brand Radar for research on any brand. Every competitor fact here was read on the vendor's own pages on 4 November 2026.

We make 99Visibility, one of the tools below. The Similarweb facts were read on its own pages on 4 November 2026: Similarweb AI Search Intelligence, AI Brand Visibility, Set up an AI Brand Visibility campaign, Using AI Brand Visibility. We did not test these tools hands-on. Plans change; confirm them with each vendor before you decide.

Who looks for a Similarweb alternative

Most people want traffic data. The results for "Similarweb alternatives" on 4 November 2026 were traffic-intelligence reviews and a forum thread about its pricing, so if you want cheaper traffic estimates, this page is not your answer.

This page is for the narrower case: you are weighing Similarweb's AI Search Intelligence to see how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI describe your brand. We have no survey of why people switch, so we describe what the product does by Similarweb's own pages and let you judge the fit. Similarweb's main site refused our requests that day, so these facts come from its AI Search Intelligence site and support center.

What Similarweb AI Search Intelligence does

Similarweb announced its GenAI Intelligence Toolkit on 28 July 2025; it now sells the product as AI Search Intelligence. Two parts measure different things:

  • AI Brand Visibility asks prompts. It "currently covers ChatGPT, Google AI Mode, Gemini and Perplexity". Similarweb says its prompt data is "normalized and aggregated from real AI searches", and that for each topic it surfaces "a curated set of the most relevant prompts", which you can edit. Its support center says you can track one brand at a time.
  • AI Traffic counts visits. It measures the traffic AI assistants send to your site and your competitors' from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini, Grok, DeepSeek and AI Mode. That is referral traffic, not what an engine says when asked: Claude, for one, appears there as a traffic source, not as an engine it asks prompts.

Its pages also list citation analysis, sentiment analysis and AI optimization recommendations. AEO Intelligence costs $129 a month, or $99 billed yearly, for 150 tracked prompts and 1 user, with a 7-day free trial; the next tier, $333 billed yearly, adds Similarweb's SEO and competitive intelligence suites. We did not find a check of answers against facts you supply, or a check of AI crawler access, on the pages we read.

How to choose a Similarweb alternative

  • Decide between prompts and traffic. Asking engines your buyers' questions tells you what AI says. Counting AI referral visits tells you who clicked through. Similarweb sells both; most tools here sell the first, and Peec lists AI referrals on every plan.
  • Choose whose prompts you track. Similarweb suggests prompts from real AI searches per topic. Most other tools track the prompts you write; ours also suggests prompts from your site.
  • Count the engines. AI Brand Visibility asks four. If Claude or Copilot matters to your buyers, check that the tool asks it, not only that it counts its traffic.
  • AI gets your facts wrong. Look for a check of answers against facts you supply: 99Visibility on every plan, Peec on a set number of prompts per plan, Profound on Enterprise.
  • You track several brands. Similarweb's support center says one brand at a time; check the brand or project count on the plan you would buy.

Where 99Visibility fits

  • A Free plan with no card, then $49, $99 and $149 a month with a 7-day trial on paid plans.
  • Every answer in an audit is read against the facts you enter (price, founding year, location, features), and each wrong claim gets a severity of critical, moderate or minor.
  • robots.txt read for 18 AI crawlers and your page requested as each of the 16 that fetch pages, on every plan, so a firewall that refuses a bot your robots.txt allows shows up.
  • Every audit ends in a ranked fix list: the change, the reason, a priority and an effort estimate.

Where it does not

  • No web traffic estimates, for your site or anyone else's.
  • AI referral traffic is not self-serve yet: the AI traffic view exists, but connecting Google Analytics is by request.
  • Our prompts are the ones you choose or we suggest from your site, not a panel of real AI searches.
  • 6 engines: no Microsoft Copilot, Grok or DeepSeek
  • No public API: audit exports in CSV and JSON, and an MCP endpoint with keys issued on request
